The Houston Audubon Society will be having a field trip to Sea Rim State Park and Sabine Woods in Sabine, TX (south of Port Arthur). The state park has a boardwalk that allows patrons to walk through the marsh. Many wading birds and gulf coast residents can be seen here. Cost is $4/person or buy a State Park Annual Pass for $70.
The Audubon Society’s “Sabine Woods” is a wooded area that is very popular with the migratory birds. It’s on the same highway as the state park. Entry fee is $10.
Bring binoculars, bug spray, and be prepared for mosquitos!
