🦅 Volunteer for the Audubon Christmas Bird Count 2022

December 13, 2022 by Layne Cassidy

Update: The Christmas Bird Count was held in December 2022. An article will be posted about it in our spring newsletter.

By: Dayna Inbody

It’s that time of year again… the 2022 Audubon Christmas Bird Count with the Prairie Oaks Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist Program!

We will hold our chapter’s Christmas Bird Count Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  We are looking for volunteers at this time to make up our teams. You don’t have to be an expert birder to participate. The teams are made of spotters, recorders, drivers, birders and photographers so there are choices for everyone in joining a team. We are looking for 20 to 25 volunteers again this year. We do need at least one good birder on each team to provide a positive ID.

Information and materials will be provided to each team on the day of the event and more details will be shared as final plans are made.  Please contact Chris and Dayna Inbody to let them know if you are interested in joining this year so they can start putting together the teams. The contact information is inbodyd@gmail.com.
