Do you want to be a Texas Master Naturalist?
The mission of the Texas Master Naturalist program is to develop a corps of well-informed volunteers to provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities for the state of Texas.
Training Dates: January 17 – April 24, 2024; Wednesday Nights 5:00 – 8:00PM
Location: Tarleton State University Agricultural Center, Stephenville, Texas

What to expect:
- Learn about local natural resources
- Network with environmental professionals
- Engage with Tarleton State University students
- Participate in hands-on learning
- Gain valuable education and outreach skills
- Experience in-classroom and field trip sessions
Ages: Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
Application: Applications will be accepted November 1-30, 2023. Space is limited.
Registration Fee:
- Individual Registration with Textbook: $100/person
- Couple Registration with shared Textbook: $75/person
- Individual Registration with borrowed Textbook: $65/person
*Some financial assistance is available.
Schedule and Training Requirements:
Initial training requirements include a combination of 40 in-classroom or field session hours. More than 50 hours will be available for participants, and many participants will also be able to complete the certification requirement of 8 advanced training hours during this class.
Applications will be accepted November 1 – 30, 2023. Space is limited. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so we recommend applying early.
