Approved POMN volunteer service.
Log hours to “NPA: Pollinator Gardens” with “Lake Minerals State Park” in the Describe your service box. Thanks!
The pollinator garden at Lake Mineral Wells State Parks is looking lovely! This past year Kerry Newberry led the effort to renovate the garden for visitors and pollinators to enjoy.
The garden needs attention a few times each year to maintain its appearance, so on March 6th (Wednesday) we will be weeding the garden and dividing some of the plants. Dividing the plants needs to be done every few years to maintain plant health. Some plants that need dividing will be potted up to distribute to local Native Plant Societies to be sold at their plant sales for people to make their own pollinator gardens.
