Annaliese Scoggin is an Abilene, TX native and has worked for TPWD for the last 11 years. After earning her B.S. and M.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences at Texas A&M University, she began her career with TPWD in the Trans-Pecos District in 2009 and in 2015 took the opportunity to move back to her hometown of Abilene to be part of the Cross Timbers District. While at Texas A&M she had the opportunity to teach a mammalogy lab and spent two years studying the effects of Hurricane Katrina on the mammals and vegetation of barrier islands of Mississippi. As a District Biologist for TPWD she teaches landowners about managing for wildlife on their properties, conducts state wildlife surveys and monitoring projects, and provides some public education and outreach.
Annaliese loves most any outdoor activities, including riding her horses, hiking, hunting/fishing, conducting prescribed burns, and traveling. She feel blessed to live on her family’s ranch in Callahan County with her husband, 3 dogs, 4 cats, chickens, goats, and horses!
