NPSOT/LBJWC Spring Symposium

February 29, 2020

The spring symposium is a joint production of the Native Plant Society of Texas and the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. It will be held at the auditorium at the Wildflower Center in South Austin on Saturday February 29. Cost is $60 person ($50 for members of NPSOT or Wildflower Center). A light breakfast, box lunch and full access to the Wildflower Center gardens is included. Doors open at 8 am.

Featured presenters at the spring symposium this year will be:

  • Justin Hayes, Supervisor, Dell Medical School Landscape Services – ‘Setting Our Sites on Gold’
  • Pam Allison, Amarillo Chapter member – ‘Milkweed – More Than Monarchs’
  • Tania Homayoun, Texas Nature Trackers Biologist, TPWD – ‘Documenting Texas Nature with iNaturalist’
  • Andrea DeLong-Amaya, Director of Horticulture at the Wildflower Center– ‘We Love Wetland Plants’
  • Jane Tillman, member of Austin Chapter and Travis Audubon Society – ‘Make Your Yard Come Alive – Garden for Birds’

Andrea DeLong-Amaya will lead a tour following the presentations.
