Tour and Workday at Bosque Nature Center
The Prairie Oaks Master Naturalist’s would like to invite the community to come take a tour of the Bosque Nature Center! The tour will explain the history of the project, show the current progress, and communicate what we have in the works and our vision of the future. The goal of the Nature Center is to be an educational resource for our community to learn about the importance of nature and the conservation of our natural resources. While the Nature Center is not currently where we would like it to be, we believe that with the help or our partnering organizations and the passion of community members, we can turn this project into a true showpiece for the city of Stephenville and a valuable resource for our community!
The tour will begin at 9:00 am on June 22nd, 2019 and will last about an hour. After the tour, those who wish to help can stay for a hands on workday from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. During the workday, participants will learn about invasive plant species and have the opportunity to work with a restoration team to remove these plants from our native pollinator garden and our prairie restoration demonstration area.
