Whitney Lake Christmas Bird Count- December 18

We are beginning a new Christmas Bird Count at Whitney Lake! For those who’ve never seen Whitney, it is an impressive lake on the Brazos River a little north of Waco. The lake has beautiful bluffs and some superb habitat for a wide variety of species including a seasonal population of common loons and yellow-cheeked warblers! For anyone looking to round out their county observations, the Whitney circle covers three counties, Bosque, Hill, and Johnson). The Whitney Count will be Sunday, December 18^th.

Please consider sharing these fliers and maps with your students, members, etc. The more volunteers we get, the better.
