Chapter Meeting with Guest Speaker — Public Welcome
November 5, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
NOTE: Due to COVID-19, meetings will be virtual via Zoom until in-person gatherings are determined to be safe. There will be no potluck. Meeting will start with the guest speaker at 6:30. If you are not a member and would like to participate in a virtual meeting, please send your request to riobrazoswebmaster@gmail.com.
All members, guests, and visitors are invited to the chapter’s monthly meetings. Visit with members, learn about the Texas Master Naturalist program, and be inspired by a special guest speaker each month. Members bring a dish for potluck dinner. Watch the calendar for meeting locations as they rotate throughout the three-county chapter area.

6:30 Speaker – Dave Moore – Five Major Extinctions. Dave is a retired nuclear power executive and former U.S. Navy nuclear submarine officer. He and his wife Wendy have been birders for over 40 years, and both are Texas Master Naturalists and members of the Rio Brazos Chapter since 2008. Dave has a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of South Florida and a Master of Business Administration degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He teaches ornithology for two Texas Master Naturalist chapters and became interested in extinction events while researching avian evolution.
