Fall Socially Distant BioBlitz – DFW Urban Ecosystem

September 6, 2020 - September 12, 2020

This is the umbrella project for all counties in the DFW extended area that are served by the 6 chapters of the Texas Master Naturalists, including the Rio Brazos Chapter. You don’t have to be a Master Naturalist to participate! Anyone and everyone can participate. This project aggregates all of the data so we can see what all was observed and where it was observed. Project lead, Sam Kieschnick with Texas Parks and Wildlife will issue daily challenges (motivation!) Observations will be recorded in iNaturalist. Observations must be in Hood, Johnson, and Somervell Counties in order to be credited to our chapter.

Check out the project at https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/fall-socially-distant-bioblitz-dfw-urban-ecosystem. Send questions to Sam Kieschnick at [email protected].

MEMBERS: Log hours as “RBMN: Field Research”. Be sure to describe your research, e.g., iNaturalist Fall Socially Distant Bioblitz.
