Star Party is a free public event at Acton Nature Center to learn about and observe the stars. Event begins with an astronomy program at the pavilion. National Park Astronomer in Residence Brad Riza will give a short talk on the James Webb Telescope that will be launched by NASA on October 31. Deep Sky Observing will begin around 8:00 at the Farmhouse Education Center. Local amateur astronomers will have their telescopes set up and assist visitors see planets, stars, and constellations up close!
