Texas Watershed Steward Workshop

July 20, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The workshop is designed to help watershed residents learn about their water resources and how they may become involved in local watershed protection and management activities. It will provide an overview of water quality and watershed management in Texas with an emphasis on area water quality. It offers interested participants an opportunity to learn about the Brazos River Authority watershed protection plan for Lake Granbury and how to become involved in watershed protection, including implementing science-based best management practices at home and in the workplace.

The event will be presented by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board in cooperation with the Brazos River Authority (BRA) and City of Granbury. It is free, but participants must preregister at the Texas Watershed Steward website at https://tws.tamu.edu or by calling 979-862-4457. Virtual attendance is an option for those who cannot attend in person. More information about the Texas Watershed Steward program also is available on the website.
