Star Party at CSP with Fort Worth Astronomical Society. Games, night nature hikes, and star gazing will be at Cedar Lodge. Large telescopes will be set up for public viewing. The chapter offers nature-related lessons in a structured program for homeschool children. Volunteers arrive at 9:30 to set up. Nature based programs start at 10:30. Volunteers can participate in the entire program or parts of it. There are different programs each month from September-May. Free Public event. This is a citizen science monthly bird count recorded in eBird. Walk starts in the parking lot and goes to the bird blind and along trails from there. Masks and social distancing encouraged. Recommended: Binoculars, camera, water, hiking shoes, and clothing suitable for the weather.
The Education Committee plans and develops educational events and services to the chapter and our communities.
