All members, guests, and visitors are invited to the chapter’s monthly meetings. Visit with members, learn about the Texas Master Naturalist program, and be inspired by a special guest speaker each month. Members bring a dish for potluck dinner. Meet in Acton Nature Center parking lot. Free public event. Beginners to seasoned birders of all ages invited. Route will take you from the parking lot to the bird blind and along trails from there. Bring binoculars, camera, water, hiking shoes, and clothing suitable for the weather.
Volunteers will teach public basic kayaking (9 am). VFW will sponsor Popsicles in the Park (2 pm). Free to all park guests. For more information contact Cathy Crocker or friendsofcleburnesp@gmail.com.
