Explore Your Thicket 1st Sunday Hike-Turkey Creek Trail

The Big Thicket Association and Big Thicket National Preserve are co-hosting hikes to explore different trails in the Big Thicket National Preserve.
On Sunday, March 1st, we will hike the upper Turkey Creek Trail from the trail-head at FM 1943 to the pipeline, then to the creek, and back to the trail-head. This hike will be approximately 4 miles.
Hikers can also choose longer and shorter hiking options. We will return to our starting point at the FM 1943 trail-head
Participants can meet at the visitor center at 12:45 pm and caravan with a BTA volunteer to the trail-head.
Bring water, snacks, insect repellent, and good walking shoes. Please note that except for service animals, pets are not permitted at public programs.
