Notes: Meet at the entrance to The Jack Gore Baygall Unit on Youngblood Rd and Dragonfly Ln. (See map for location).
We will be hiking a primitive trail for approx. 2.25 miles and back for a total of 4.5 miles. Along the way we will stop and take a look at the Blue Springs, where early settlers stopped to wash their clothes. We will also see evidence of the wagon ruts in a few locations along the trail.
This hike should be considered as an easy to moderate hike due to the elevation change of the trail and underdeveloped trail itself.
This is not an official Big Thicket Trail at this time, therefore you will not find the trail on any map.
This hike is for the enjoyment of the Sabine Neches Master Naturalists, family members and friends.
