Pleasure Island Nature Trail Work Day

Date:  Saturday, January 19, 2019
Time:  8:00 a.m. until noon
Place:  The Palms Golf Course on Pleasure Island in Port Arthur

We will continue to clear areas along the trail for better viewing of the area as well as cut a couple of shortcuts on the trail. This work will require weedeater/brush cutters, lopper operators, and people to help dispose of the debris.

Don’t forget to wear sturdy shoes or boots. Bring some gloves and plenty of mosquito spray.

Directions:  69S to 73W to 82S (towards Cameron).  R on T. B. Ellison after crossing the MLK bridge.  The entrance to the golf course is on the left, about 1/2 mile past the stop sign where the marina is located.  (The map on this site directs you to the clubhouse that is inside the gate.)
