Monarch Migration Talk-Sara Dykman “Bicycling with Butterflies” Book Tour

“In 2017 Sara Dykman rode her bicycle 10,201 miles following the monarch’s migration from Mexico to Canada. Her goal was to be a voice for the monarch, by giving presentations, interviews and connecting with people along the route. In 2021 her book, Bicycling with Butterflies, was published, reaching even more people.

This fall, she is organizing a motorcycle (not bicycle this time) book tour from her home state of Kansas to where the monarchs overwinter in Mexico.”

Sponsored by the Native Plant Society of Texas, the Jefferson County Master Gardeners and Texas Master Naturalist, Sara will be speaking on October 11th, @7pm at the Botanical Garden Center Building about her trip with the monarchs and how we can help protect the migration.
