Why Join the Bois d’Arc Chapter?

Localized Knowledge

We expand our knowledge in all the aspects of the natural environment through advanced training and education opportunities, specializing in the unique ecosystems within our region.

Volunteer Opportunities

We work with many partnering organizations including Texas AgriLife Extension, Texas Parks and Wildlife, USDA-NRCS in Texas Wildlife Conservation groups, Fannin Soil, Water Conservation District, and local government entities.

We provide valuable citizen scientist and volunteer hours towards research and restoration efforts.

Lasting Impact

We make meaningful enhancements of our local natural environment.

We ensure that the natural Texas of the Pioneers will still be available for our grandchildren.

We educate others in our community about the conservation and management of our natural resources.

Fun!

We get to mingle and network with like-minded naturalists.

We get to wear grubby clothes and spend time outdoors!

We have fun!
