Bamberger Ranch Preserve: Water Conservation Lessons
Volunteers are needed to assist with dinners and provide water conservation lessons for three sets of 4th-grade students. Dinner typically consists of heating a previously made meal and preparing simple salads. Asking the students about their activities on the ranch is encouraged as a means of reinforcing the day’s lessons. After dinner, students help with kitchen clean-up and volunteers talk about water conservation while loading the dishwasher. If time permits, you may include a generic discussion on composting.
