Fall Fishing Day

Fall Fishing Day is coming up at The Chenier Plain NWR! There is everything to do, from the person who hasn’t ever fished to the expert fisherman.

There will be multiple booths/activities to choose from –
– control traffic (show people where to park, make sure they don’t drive through the event area, etc)
– help kids put on bait, fix poles, put on new hooks, weights, etc
– teach how to throw the cast net and let them try
– show critters (they will have a couple of aquariums and a kiddie pool and if a kid catches something cool, we add it)
– talk about crabs, pass out lines, bait, and nets and let them do it
– run face painting
– run fish printing craft
– run a photo booth (we have a cutout that the kid puts their face in the holes, we take and print a photo for a souvenir) 
– depending on the number of volunteers, we may have a few other activities

7:30 – 9:00 set up
9:00 – 1:00 activities
1:00 – 2:00 break down
