High Island Work Day

Help Houston Audubon beautify one of their four nature sanctuaries, improving both the visitor infrastructure and the wildlife habitat.
Meet at the Boy Scout Woods Shop (intersection of 5th Street and Goodman Street) in High Island, TX.
Work starts around 8:30 and goes until about noon, when they break for lunch which is provided by Houston Audubon and prepared by the lunch crew.
After lunch, there's about an hour for staff to tie up loose ends and clean up. Volunteers are welcome to help more at this point, walk around and do some birding, or simply get on the road home!
Bring plenty of ice water in your own refillable water bottles.
