Texas coasts are critical habitats for nesting season. Every spring, thousands of shorebirds and sea turtles migrate to Texas beaches to lay their eggs. Unfortunately , Texas beaches also accumulate trash ten times faster than any other Gulf state.
Join Nestfest to remove dangerous trash from the beaches to make the habitat safer for nesting sea turtle and beach birds. (In 2024 – 12 sites, 3,022 pounds of trash removed, 416 volunteers attended, 305 acres of nesting habitat improved!)
