Description: Grassland systems are one of the most endangered land systems on Earth. Tarleton State University is located within what was historically native grasslands mixed with savannas and woodlands. These are now altered, and often degraded, by land use. As part of a USDA grant within the WSES department, a large-scale comprehensive initiative was proposed to restore connections with Texas grasslands through research, education, and outreach activities. This panel was comprised of representatives from Tarleton, Texas Tech University, Texas A&M, and the Botanical Research Institute of Texas. Participants: John Tomecek, Dan Caudle, Morgan Treadwell, Caitlyn Cooper-Norris, William Fox, & Darrel Murray.
