Walk the Bosque River Trail and learn the names of the trees, native plants, and wildlife along the way. You will also learn the basics of iNaturalist, an app that uses photos to identify native species. It searches a database to offer suggestions of species from your area. Whoever can take a photo with an iphone is old enough to participate. iNaturalist is free to download on the App Store. You can also join the hike without using iNaturalist.
The hike will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Bosque River Nature Center, located where Long Street crosses the Bosque River Trail. Parking available. Good walking shoes are encouraged. If weather is questionable, check our Prairie Oaks Master Naturalist Facebook page.
