All members, guests, and visitors are invited to the chapter’s monthly meetings. Each meeting starts with a potluck (dinner on us for guests and visitors), followed by a speaker and the business meeting.
6:30 Gary Hinds — Invasive Species Impacts in RBMN Chapter Three-County Area.
We will explore about 10 invasive species from different taxa. We will also look at their impacts on our ecosystem, and what we can do to deter those impacts.
Gary Hinds has a B.S. degree in Biochemistry from University of Texas Arlington. He worked for 33 years at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant as a Chemist and Chemistry Instructor. He has also been a very active Master Naturalist for 15 years. During this time, he has become interested in invasive plants since taking a workshop at Botanical Research Institute of Texas in 2008.
