National Groundwater Awareness Week is an annual observance established in 1999 to highlight the responsible development, management, and use of groundwater. Well owners are encouraged to test and maintain their wells yearly. Free Public event. This is a citizen science monthly bird count recorded in eBird. Walk starts in the parking lot and goes to the bird blind and along trails from there. Masks and social distancing encouraged. Recommended: Binoculars, camera, water, hiking shoes, and clothing suitable for the weather.

Keep Burleson Beautiful is the catalyst organization that combines all nature organizations working with the City of Burleson Parks Department in a reporting meeting that recurs monthly. All interested persons are welcome to attend. Texas Master Naturalist, Rio Brazos Chapter members serve on the Board.
