The Rio Brazos Chapter supports beneficial management of Texas’ natural resources and natural areas in Hood, Johnson, and Somervell Counties by:

  • Maintaining and restoring natural areas.
  • Conducting citizen science projects.
  • Offering outdoor learning events.
  • Providing nature education oportunities for youth and adults.

Chapter Meeting: April 2, 2026, 6:00-8:30 pm, Granbury United Coop, 320 Fall Creek Hwy, Granbury, TX 76049. Speaker: Robert Walker, Chapter Member and Owner of Little L Ranch, Brazos River Cleanup Project. The public is invited to join us.

Monthly Bird Walks: 1st Saturday every month, 7 am, Acton Nature Center, 6900 Smoky Hill Court, Granbury, TX. For everyone, from casual bird interest to seasoned birders. Check calendar for details.
