We will be cleaning up the trail with clippers, loppers, and bow saws out to the Blue Holes. We will also work to remove the fallen trees and other debris that has accumulated in the Blue Holes over the years. Most of this will be very light duty work — just a lot of walking and clipping brush along the trail.
We will start the morning with a work safety discussion and a short history on the Old Wagon Road. Everyone will need to sign in for this work in the Big Thicket Preserve. Worker must be 18 years of age or older.
Please dress for the weather and make sure you wear long pants, good sturdy shoes or work boots, and gloves. Bring plenty of water and a snack/lunch.
This a good opportunity to accumulate several volunteer hours to start off the new year.
Bring your clippers, loppers, and bow saws if you have them. We will have extra equipment on hand for those that need it.
Hope to see you there.
