AT: Water quality monitoring training session

Mary Meuth has notified us of an opportunity for water quality monitoring training from the University of Houston-Clear Lake from the Environmental Institute of Houston that will be a two-part training course focusing on Surface Water Quality Monitoring techniques.  The partial course on March 18 will cover fundamental techniques for TCEQ’s water quality and hydrological monitoring.  The full course on March 18-21 will cover additional techniques and protocols for biological and physical haitat monitoring, emphasizing wadeable stream sampling techniques.  Each course day will consist of classroom and field-based instruction designed to explain the theory and methodology of SWQM procedures with a hands-on componenet in local rivers and streams.  The cost of the partial course is $175 by Feb 8 or $200 if registered by March 4.  The full course cost is $600 if registered by 2.8 or $700 by March 4th.  Registration opens January 1 and closes March 4, 2019.  CEU’s are available upon request.  For info or registration visit http://bit.ly/eihtraining.
