EPA Trash Free Waters Webinar: Impacts of Plastics in the Aquatic Environment

EPA’s Trash Free Waters program is very pleased to be hosting a webinar by Dr. Chelsea Rochman on Jan. 31st at 1:00 pm EST.
The webinar is entitled “Impacts of Plastics in the Aquatic Environment.”
Dr. Rochman is an internationally renowned researcher on the effects of aquatic trash, especially plastics, in the environment. She’s also a very engaging speaker!
The webinar is intended for a general audience and will include an overview of the issue of plastics and microplastics in the environment, as well as consideration of the potential risks posed by plastics and microplastics.

This webinar is the first in a monthly series of Trash Free Waters webinars on the impacts of plastics and microplastics in the environment.
The second webinar in this series, on the distribution of microplastics in the environment, will be presented by Dr. Kara Lavender Law of the Sea Education Association, Inc., on February 28, 2017 at 1:00 pm EST.
Participation in these live webinars will count towards advanced training.
