Our speaker this month will be Cathie Coudert from Friends of Texas Wildlife.
Friends of Texas Wildlife is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that rehabilitates orphaned, injured, and displaced native Texas wildlife. They are based in Montgomery County and have been serving it and many surrounding counties since 1993.
Volunteer rehabbers are permitted by the Texas Parks & Wildlife and U.S. Fish & Wildlife. Friends of Texas Wildlife receives no funding from state, local, or federal agencies and must rely on donations from the community to care for the thousands of animals that are admitted each year to the Intake Center. The Education Center gives presentations throughout the community to educate the public on the local wildlife and how to coexist with the animals that they may see in their neighborhoods.
