Fire Ecology: How To Conduct A Prescribed Burn

AT is available for the speakers and learning the process of the prescribed burn (does not include breaks or travel time).

Join a group of prescribed burn experts to learn techniques that make a prescribed burn safe and beneficial for wildlife and brush control. Top experts will discuss fire ecology, planning for a burn and introduce participants to safety equipment. Participants will take part in the process of laying blacklines to prepare for a prescribed burn and participate in a burn (weather permitting.) Come and learn sensible fire strategies to meet your stewardship goals! Participants are also welcome to join us on Friday, February 5th to get additional hands-on experience laying blacklines.

Tuition: $25 for Members, $30 for Non-Members,
$20 for Member of the Hill Country Prescribed Burning Association
