Speakers: Maria Lazo, Associate Director/Education Coordinator; and Maddy Herron, Education Associate
Title: Enhancing Education in a Museum Setting
Summary: The Museum Education team will share how they work to meet their mission of “stimulating understanding of natural and cultural history”. They will discuss in depth their programming opportunities and annual events, as well as the unique challenges they face in the field of informal education.
They will also introduce opportunities to volunteer at your local natural history Museum, which offers you an opportunity to educate the public and Museum visitors about local history and natural sciences.
The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History is a partner organization to Texas Master Naturalist Brazos Valley Chapter. TMN members will learn how the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History complements our own educational mission and offers opportunities to help the museum with its work.
