Hello, Fans of Native Plants!
We will be meeting every month instead of alternating months, with programs on even-numbered months (Jun, Aug, Oct, Dec) and action sessions on odd-numbered months (May, Jul, Sep, Nov). This month we will be at our usual meeting place, the Ecology and Natural Resource Teachying Area, 1183 Fishtank Road, College Station, at 6:30PM. Call me for more info: 979-571-6448.
This Thursday, May 2, we will be removing invasive plants from the front yard at ENRTA, adding plants to the front bed, and perhaps organizing the storage building by the greenhouses (depending on number of hands available and ant interference at storage building). Bring gloves, insect repellent, sunscreen, water, whatever you think you will need for an hour outdoors.
If you have plants that are native to Post Oak Savanna that would work in the flower beds (ask me if you’re not sure) and would like to donate them to this effort, please bring them!
