North American Butterfly Count

Meet at the Equestrian Parking Lot at Lick Creek Park at 9:00 am. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, hat, bug repellent. We will be out till at least noon.
You will receive expert tuition on how to identify our local butterfly species. Last year we were graced with some top experts including a butterfly guide book author.
YOU DON’T NEED ANY KNOWLEDGE OF BUTTERFLIES TO TAKE PART. If you can point at moving objects you are good to go, our experts will ID the butterflies for you.
It’s my understanding that as in previous years this will count for master naturalist volunteer hours.
Close focusing binoculars will be provided for those without, so bring along your family and friends.
