Trash Pick Up @ Gabbard & Brison Parks

Looking for volunteer opportunity, come and join us on Saturday, 11/21, to clean up two of our local parks. Our chapter adopted two city parks, Brison Park and Gabbard Park, in College Station and is responsible for cleaning them up twice a year. We did our first clean up last April and are planning to do another clean up on 11/21. We plan to meet up at Gabbard Park at 7:45 am (please park along Haines Dr.) and starts our clean up at 8:00 am. We will start with Gabbard Park and then go to Brison Park. This event is approved for volunteer hours (which includes travel time).
Please bring insect repellent and sunscreen, wear long sleeve shirts and pants, running shoes or rain boots. There are poison ivies in Brison Park and we may need to get down to the creek to pick up trash there. The City of College Station will provide gloves, trash grabbers, and garbage bags.
