We will be cleaning up Gabbard and Brison Parks
Saturday, 04/03/2021, from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
We will meet up at Gabbard Park (link to
Google Map)
at 8:45 am first. Here are the details and requirement:
- To participate in this clean up, please wear a CDC approved face covering and maintain social distancing. There is no limit to group size.
- Our Chapter will provide trash grabbers, trash bags, and disposable gloves. You are welcome to bring your own trash grabbers and gloves.
- Everyone has to complete this Volunteer Release Form either email the completed and signed form to me before Friday, 04/02/2021, or bring your signed and completed form to me on Saturday, 04/03/2021.
- We will delay cleaning up monofilaments and fishing hooks on the island in Gabbard Park pond until the fall. Yellow Crowned Night Herons are spotted in the park (see Rio Brazos Audubon Society Facebook page) and we do not want to disturb their nesting area.
Our Chapter has been part of the City of College Station/Keep Brazos Beautiful’s Adopt-A-Greenway Program since 2015. We adopted Brison Park and Gabbard Park in College Station to be our locations to clean up.
Look forward to volunteering with you to keep our park clean and beautiful.
