Winter Tree and Woody Plant ID clinic at Palo Pinto Mountains State Park

There will be a clinic to learn to identify trees and other woody plants through shape, structure and bark characteristics at Palo Pinto Mountains State Park on Saturday, January 30 from 1:00 to 3:30 pm. Suzanne Tuttle with the Cross Timbers Chapter will be leading this clinic.

Palo Pinto Mountains State Park is a new, undeveloped state park near Strawn (about 70 miles west of Fort Worth) which is not open to the public. There is no charge for this event, and attendees should be prepared for walking outdoors on roads, trails and rough areas without trails. If weather requires canceling the event it will be rescheduled for Sunday, February 14 at the same time.

Participation is limited to 20 attendees and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
