Wish upon a butterfly

The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History invites you to join our annual live butterfly release on Saturday, July 27th, from 9 am – 12 pm. Starting at 9 am, check- in with a reception and enjoy live music, crafts, and free Museum admission with the purchase of a Monarch Butterfly. AT: Wildflower driving tour

Please join us for a driving tour of spring wildflowers. We will meet at the BRTC at 12:30pm on Sunday, April 14, and consolidate into carpools. We’ll caravan on a loop in the greater-BCS area, guided by our own Dwight Bohlmeyer. We will stop at safe poll-off spots to get a closer look (and photos!) along the way. Monarch March

As spring approaches, monarch butterflies are preparing to make their annual 2,500-mile journey back to their homeland in the north. Among their stops along the way will be the Brazos Valley. To commemorate the iconic black and orange butterflies’ return to Aggieland, the College Station Parks & Recreation Department’s Monarch March event from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday at Lick Creek Park Nature Center offers a variety of interactive educational activities. AT: BeeKeepers Bee School monthly meeting

The BeeKeepers Bee School will be held again in 2019.  The local BeeKeepers organization plans that and meets monthly at the First Christian Church at 900 S.
