Mark your calendars to attend our September Chapter Meeting on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Stephen F. Austin State Park!
Our meeting begins at 9:30 am and is planned as an outdoor event!
Meet at the amphitheater at Stephen F. Austin State Park (Park Road 38 San Felipe, TX 77473). Park entry fees are waived for those attending the Texas Master Naturalist meeting.
Here is the “agenda” for the meeting (times are approximate):
9:30 am -TMN-GLC business meeting
10 am – Introduction to SFA State Park by Venus Mercado, Park Interpreter
10:30 am – Interpretive walk along Cottonwood Trail led by Jack Philley, SFA Volunteer
IMPORTANT NOTICES: This chapter meeting is an outdoor event and includes a hike/walk in the park that will take about 30-45 minutes round trip. Please dress for the weather and the hike: closed toe shoes, long pants, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, etc. Bring your own water and snack as appropriate and don’t forget cameras, binoculars, trekking poles, . . .
