Fall is the season for Advanced Training! There are numerous opportunities for advanced training in the upcoming months. Never been to the TMN Annual Meeting? It will be held in Georgetown during the last weekend of October. Wildscapes, sponsored by the Houston Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas, will be back this year better than ever on September 22, 2018. The Native Plant Society of Texas has several native plant landscaping classes scheduled for this fall.
These and other AT opportunities can be found on your TMN-GLC calendar. You can search by category or sponsor using the search feature at the top of the calendar. And if you are wondering if the event is approved for AT, check for the VMS category at the top of the entry. If the event has been approved, the VMS category will be listed.
If you would like to attend a class that is not listed on our calendar as approved for Advanced Training, you can submit the class to our new Advanced Training Committee, as follows:
- Use Advanced Training Request Form on our website or provide detailed information from training provider
- Email your request to: tmnglcat@googlegroups.com
- The committee will review the request and a majority in favor (or not) will determine if a request is approved
- You will be notified if the request is approved and if not why. Your request will also be sent to the web team to be added to the long list of AT options available to our chapter members
