Advanced Training Opportunity: VMS Category: AT – Chapter Meeting
The final chapter meeting of 2018 will be held November 17, 2018 at Winedale beginning at 9:00 a.m. There will be an advanced training following the chapter meeting. As always, the public is welcome at our free Program.
Presenter: William Hood, Wildland Urban Interface Specialist with Texas A&M Forest Service.
This Fire Resistant Landscaping program will cover a basic introduction of wildfire, home loses during a wildfire, and actions that can be taken to reduce your risks. We will also briefly discuss the Firewise USA™ program organized by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). After the presentation there will be a short walking tour around Winedale to provide examples of these concepts.
