Native Prairie Restoration Field Visit

Advanced Training Opportunity: VMS category: NGO Workshops and Programs on Wildlife Conservation and Land Stewardship
View a land restoration project in process. Meet at 9 a.m. at 12421 Coyote Run Lane in Burton. The program will include a field visit and an educational presentation covering:
- Invasive, introduced species to get rid of, and how
- clearing
- herbiciding
- soil amending – Organic matter
- cover crops
- planting – seed or live plants / transplanting etc
- prescribed burns
- prescribed grazing
- which company you ordered from, or where you collected seed from
- rolling out native bales – with ripe seed
