VMS opportunity: AT: TPWD Wildlife and Land Management Workshops and Programs
The Attwater Prairie Chicken National Wildlife Refuge is hosting an in-person Project Wild workshop. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on learning using the TPWD created Project Wild curriculum. Volunteers who take the training will be well prepared to work with Attwater staff to present educational activities at school field trip events.
Place: Attwater Prairie Chicken NWR, 1206 APC NWR Rd., Eagle Lake, Texas 77434
Date: February 18
Time: 9:00 AM till 3:30 PM
Fee: $35
Bring: Lunch, drinks, snacks
Register on-line at: Project WILD
Registration Deadline: February 4
Note: Registration fees are not refundable, but you can transfer your registration to someone else, if something keeps you from attending.
What you receive: A copy of the 575 page Project Wild Book plus digital access to a great many additional digital resources.
This workshop will not be advertised state wide until mid January, as I wanted local groups to have the first chance to register.
Hoping to see you there for a stimulating day for all of us. You will get to play several activities, think about how you can use them, and then teams of you will get to present an activity to the rest of us. You will leave ready to prepare activities to share with children.
Feel free to contact me with further questions.
