PRESENTATION: Know Your Dirt – A Primer in Soil Science by Annalee Epps.
Annalee is an extension program specialist with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension. She is currently the watershed coordinator for two watershed protection plans – one in the Brenham/Bellville area and one in the Seguin/New Braunfels area. She graduated with a master’s degree in Soil Science from Texas A&M, where her research focused on soil carbon and microbial activity under agricultural nitrogen fertilization. With a background in biology and childhood creek exploration, she now coordinates community-driven water quality programs and education. While teaching is not a primary role in her current position, she takes every opportunity to engage with learners of any age – children, youth, and adults.
