The November chapter meeting will be held at the Brenham Library from 9:30-11:00 a.m., with an AT program to follow.
Members will vote for chapter officers to serve a two-year term. The Nominating Committee will present the following slate of officers for consideration:
- President – Betsy Palkowsky
- Vice President – Mark Brown
- Secretary – Linda Esco
- Treasurer – Pam Green
Additional nominations will be accepted from the floor.

– Welcome– Previous meeting minutes approved– State info update– Election of Officers– 2020 Budget planning– Volunteer Appreciation Party Update– 2020 Meeting dates and locations– Officer updates (VP – Mark Brown, Treasurer, Pam Green, Secretary, Linda Esco)– Director updates– Project Leaders – new requests for their projects (if there are any)– New Business10:45 – Scholarship recipient presentations11:00 – 11:30 Seed sharing and lunch (If you have any seeds to share bring them to the meeting.A number of chapter members have surplus they would like to share.

11:30 -12:30 – Tim Siegmund, TPWD Private Lands Program Leader will present, “Managing for Diversity”. Tim discuss the impacts of drought, grazing, and fire and how we use those currently to mimic historical processes that shaped our landscape and in turn provide habitat and habitat structure that our native wildlife evolved with over time.12:30 – 1:30 -Native Land Restoration challenges and rewards. Chapter members B.R. Koehler, Mark Brown and Donna Mueller will take part in a panel discussion covering what they have done over the last 10- 20 years in their efforts to restore their land to a native environment. They will cover what worked/what hasn’t, effort involved, resources utilized and words of wisdom for those embarking on this adventure.
