Venturing Outside

October 7, 2020 by Lori Buffum

Venturing out to the Gideon Lincecum trailhead near Winedale, chapter members (and fellow #texasnatureventure participants) Nita Tiemann, Lori Buffum, Chris Morrison, and Betsy Palkowsky explored the site that honors Lincecum, an early Texas naturalist and our chapter’s namesake.

The pollinator garden at the Winedale visitor center and the Gideon Lincecum monument trail are two of our chapter’s service projects and are open to visitors. The garden and the prairie along the trail are in full bloom for fall.

Statewide, master naturalists (and friends and family), are participating in the Virtual Nature Venture event that runs through October 17. You can still join in the fun!
