The Aviary Exhibition at Austin’s Flatbed Press

Enjoy wine and conversation as you view avian imagery by some of Austin’s finest artists. Curator Anna Grotovich will make welcoming remarks at 7:00 p.m.

Featured artists include: Frank X. Tolbert, Billy Hassell, Dan Rizzie, Kelly Fearing, John Alexander, Julie Speed, Luis Jimenez, James Surls, Alice Leora Briggs, Mary McCleary, Bob Schneider, David Everett, Ricky Armendariz, and Annalise Gratovich.

Visit the Largest Purple Martin Colony in South Austin!

Second Saturday Swift Watch at Chaetura Canyon

FREE, $10 Suggested Donation

Join Sanctuary Stewards Georgean and Paul Kyle for an evening of Chimney Swift Watching and fellowship at Travis Audubon’s Chaetura Canyon Bird Sanctuary on June 13 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.

The Chaetura Canyon decks are now fully wheel chair accessible.  The event includes a guided tour of the upper canyon trails for those who wish to partake. Or just relax and enjoy adult beverages or soft drinks and snacks provided courtesy of Georgean and Paul on the outdoor decks as the swifts gather at dusk.

A $10 donation per person is requested. All donations and proceeds from the sale of native plants and other merchandise are used for the maintenance of this Sanctuary.

The evening is limited to 15 participants, so contact Georgean and Paul as soon as possible to make your reservation ([email protected]).
