Water
Stephen Benold, MD
Everyone likes to talk about water, whether it is the rainfall, lake levels, projected water needs for the city, or xeriscape. In this course we will explore several central questions about water. Among them will be: Where will new sources of water come from? How can we recycle wastewater? How can efficient markets in water better allocate water resources? How can we use water more efficiently? What are the special considerations for the arid American West?
Stephen Benold has been teaching economics and various other courses for Senior University for 15 years. His under- graduate degree was in economics from Rice University, where he was the Hayden Honor Scholar in Economics. He recently retired as medical director of the Williamson Coun- ty EMS, but he maintains a private financial practice.
This course is also held on Monday evenings.
